Primitive skateboards' top-seeder Carlos Ribeiro has expressed his views on the current state of skateboarding culture when asked about the YouTube skater Gifted Hater.

In an interview with Street League Skateboarding, Ribeiro boldly stated that he believes skateboarding has lost its sense of humor and has become overly sensitive.

According to Ribeiro, there is a growing trend of taking things too seriously and being overly sensitive to jokes or playful banter within the skateboarding community.

He lamented that skaters nowadays are less willing to take jokes and are more easily offended than when he started skating.

On the other hand, Gifted Hater has been a prominent commentator in the YouTube skateboarding scene, using his humor to entertain the core skaters with his hot takes and sometimes controversial comments online.

Fellow pro skater Dustin Dollin also expressed his disappointment in the new generation that skateboarding has gotten soft.

Dollin's comments have sparked a lively debate within the skateboarding community, with some agreeing with his views and others disagreeing. Some skaters echoed Dollin's sentiments, expressing concerns about the industry's increasing softness.
