Skateboarders around the globe are perceived as rebels and were portrayed in the media to disrespect the authority and rules in general.

The majority of the normal people who never skated think that skaters are also low lifers, uneducated slackers, and stoners.

Hence, one of the top-notched pros in the game, Walker Ryan corroborated that skaters can also write a book and has released his forthcoming debut novel entitled "Top Of The Mason" that is probably the first one yet to set in the world of professional skateboarding - inspired by Walker's love for San Francisco and appreciation for the unique individuals he's met through skateboarding.

To give everyone a back story, Walker Ryan has finished college with a Sociology major, and his higher education never stopped him from skating hard in the streets. Balancing his love for skating and placing higher importance on getting a college education made him even learn to be a book smart and street smart at the same time.
