Thrasher Faced Backlash on Saving Tyshawn Jones’ Backside Flip For SOTY Announcement

It was all a plot!

Thrasher magazine has received intense backlash, primarily because of the premeditated Skater Of The Year coronation of saving pro skater Tyshawn Jones' backside flip gap on a New York subway instead of being part of the Supreme's "Play Dead" full-length video.

Core skateboarders are calling out the satanic mag for crowning Jones as the 2022 Skater Of The Year, even if it wasn't a close battle between Nyjah Huston's eye-popping "Need That" part from Nike SB.

It started when Tj Rogers didn't get to the final four, even though fans knew that he deserved to be in the finals due to his consistency while beating cancer, hosting local skate events, and dropping a shoe with Es Skateboarding.

And now skaters are questioning how they judge who wins SOTY, as the people's vote didn't matter. The contenders' announcement was so fast that Thrasher couldn't wait to announce Jones' victory.
