Professional skateboarders Dustin Dollin and Alex Midler were recently interviewed by the Riding Zone to talk about one of the most dangerous and legendary skate spots "Sunset Car Wash."
Baker skateboards pro Dustin Dollin has been trying to kickflip down the Sunset car wash spot for many years
Dollin said that trying to kickflip down the spot into the bank tortured him in a long time. He said, "The problem is when you try to commit you to lean forward, and if it sticks you are going straight to your face unless you are strong enough which mine is not."
He continued. "Or if you don't commit you're slipping back every f#@king time. It's mainly because it's so steep and so high into it, you just had to get that one beautiful lucky one and that's it."
The preparation going to the skate spot is no joke as they have to prepare to have a platform up the car wash and according to Midler, you have to time the street light. "You only get a 30-second window." He said.
Before other skateboarders landing the tricks on the spot, skate legends John Cardiel and Mark Gonzales were the first ones to ever land the tricks back then.
The documentary doesn't have an English subtitle however you will enjoy watching it as Dollin and Midler explain their experience on what it's like skating the insane spot.
