Former Baker skateboards professional skateboarder Evan Hernandez has been sentenced to a 97-month federal imprisonment after pleading guilty to selling nearly 2 pounds of methamphetamine.

According to TMZ, the 35-year-old admitted to laundering Bitcoin for other dark web drug traffickers.

In addition to dealing drugs himself, the U.S. Department of Justice says Hernandez also conducted businesses to other drug dealers like William Glarner IV by supplying illicit narcotics with a highly sophisticated drug-trafficking operation.

As per DOJ, the Long Beach, California native distributed narcotics, conspiring with drug dealers to distribute the controlled substances over one of the world’s largest darknet marketplaces from March 2018 to March 2019.

Hernandez used to be one of the best pro skaters in the early 2000s riding for various popular skateboarding companies such as TSA, Vans, Baker, and more.
