Iconic professional skateboarder turned actor Paul Rodriguez celebrates his 20th anniversary as a professional skateboarder via a mini-documentary on his official YouTube channel.

Rodriguez, also known as "P-Rod," was recognized as a prodigy at 14, only two years after he started skating.

His consistency, effortless style, and persistence on his board led Paul to travel far from his hometown of Northridge, CA, to the City Streets around the world as a part of the legendary City Stars team.

The 37-year-old's passion for skating and filming with his friends led to his breakout in Logic 6 in 2000 and Street Cinema in 2001, which landed him Rookie of the Year in 2002 for his part in Transworld's video production "In Bloom." He turned pro later that year.

According to his fellow pro skater Mickey Taylor, the career of a pro skater is short-lived as it will make your body soar and weak over the years, primarily because of the gnarly maneuvers on street spots when you get older.

Only a few pros made it to the top, and some retired with no accolades except prestige from the core skateboarding community.

But PRod is different. He stretched his career and preserved it wisely by landing corporate sponsorships and taking good care of his body.

He started preparing himself when times were good, and in the 20th year of his professional career as a skateboarder, he is ready if the times are bad.

Stream the video below, and don't forget to share it with your friends on social media. Enjoy!
