Polish blacked death metal masters Behemoth has won the Polish Grammy Award for "World's Greatest Musicians" in a metal album category.

The award, officially known as the Fryderyk Award, is one of Poland's most prestigious music awards and is named after the renowned Polish composer Fryderyk Chopin.
Formed in 1991, the band has been making waves in the metal scene for over two decades. The band is known for its unique blend of black, death, and thrash metal and has gained a massive following in Poland and worldwide.
Although Adam Nergal Darski has been receiving lawsuit after lawsuit for "Offending Religious Feelings," the Satanist didn't back down and kept fighting for his rights and still winning not just awards but at life.
The award is given to musicians who have made outstanding contributions to the music industry, and Behemoth's win is a recognition of their excellence in the metal genre.
Behemoth's vocalist and guitarist, Nergal, expressed his gratitude for the award in a statement, saying: " I’ve been with Behemoth since they released Satanica and I do not recall such a moment. So proud they finally have been recognised in Polish media and at the same time feel disappointed it happened after such a long time. Anyway, better late then never! Congratulations Guys, sooo proud and happy for you!"
